Both Iowa and Iowa State are in action on Saturday, highlighting another jam-packed day of college football.

Arkansas State at Iowa State

The Cyclones close out non-conference play hosting Arkansas State from the Sun Belt Conference.

This is the first all-time meeting between the two schools on the football field.

The Red Wolves opened the 2024 season with back-to-back wins over Central Arkansas and Tulsa, before dropping its first game of the year last week on the road at Michigan, 28-18.

Iowa State returns to action after the bye week, seeking a 3-0 start for the second time in the last three seasons.

The Cyclones have a 5-1 record against Sun Belt teams all-time, with the lone loss coming in 2020 at home to Louisiana.

Iowa at Minnesota

6:30 p.m. - Coverage starts at 5:30 p.m.

Iowa and Minnesota meet in Minneapolis on Saturday, with the Floyd of Rosedale trophy on the line.

This is the 118th meeting all-time between the two schools, with Saturday's game being the earliest in the year ever the two have played. Iowa and Minnesota have only played in September two other times.

The Hawkeyes rebounded from the loss in this year's Cy-Hawk game with a 38-21 win over Troy last week in Iowa City.

Iowa scored 28 second half points to beat the Trojans, with Junior running back Kaleb Johnson rushing for 173 yards and two touchdowns in the win. He leads the nation in rushing with 479 yards so far this season.

After opening the year with a loss to North Carolina, the Golden Gophers outscored their next two opponents 75-0.

Minnesota has allowed 6.3 points per game and 184 yards per game in 2024, ranking them in the top five for both categories.

The Hawkeyes lost last year's game in Iowa City 12-10, snapping an eight-game winning streak against Minnesota.
