(Iowa) -- The Iowa Nuclear Energy Task Force has released its final report on opportunities for advancing nuclear energy in Iowa.
Its final report, the Task Force concluded that Iowa is in a good position to develop nuclear energy in the state and included nine recommendations to prepare the state for advancement in nuclear energy. The report also says Iowa has the necessary elements to become a leader in nuclear energy as it develops in the Midwest.
The Task Force was created in January and has met seven times over the course of five months. It was established by Governor Kim Reynolds' Executive Order 17, which ordered the Iowa Economic Development Authority's Energy Office to staff the new task force.
