(Ankeny, IA) -- A portion of I-35 northbound between Ankeny and Huxley will close overnight Thursday for a barrier removal project.
The Iowa Department of Transportation says the northbound lanes of I-35 will be closed between Northeast 36th Street and Iowa 210 starting at 9pm Thursday and opening to traffic at 5am Friday. The closure includes the northbound I-35 rest stop, which will close in advance starting at 10am on Thursday.
There will be a detour posted during the duration of the closure. More information on the detour route and updates during the project can be found at the Iowa 511 website.
