(Des Moines, IA) -- Severe storms could develop across the state this evening.
The National Weather Service says the southern Iowa is more at risk, where a tornado watch has been issued until 10:00 p.m.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Chad Hahn says strong and damaging winds, large hail and tornadoes are all possible.
The Tornado Watch includes the towns of Osceola, Ottumwa and Lamoni.
Hahn stresses the need to stay weather aware by using mobile apps with radar and using multiple ways to receive warning notifications.
