(Ankeny, IA) -- A total of 15 students were hurt when a vehicle hit them outside of St. Luke Catholic School in Ankeny Tuesday.
Nine students were taken to the hospital by ambulance while another six were taken to hospitals and Urgent Care by family members.
Ankeny Police say seven students remain hospitalized following the accident on Tuesday, while eight were treated and released.
Those hurt range in age from 7 to 11 years old. The students were waiting to be picked up when a vehicle jumped the curb and entered the pick-up line.
Police don't believe the crash was intentional but an investigation is on-going.
