(IOWA) -- Families will welcome home National Guard members March 12 across Iowa.
Welcome home ceremonies will take place Thursday in Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, and Sioux City.
The soldiers are from the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division.. and are returning from deployment in the Middle East.
They were part of an effort to stop ISIS in Iraq and Syria.
Soldiers will be welcomed home in Sioux City at the airport beginning at noon.
The Des Moines Welcome Home ceremony will be held at 2:00 pm at the 132nd Air Wing at the Des Moines International Airport.
The event in Cedar Rapids begins at 4:45 pm at the Cedar Rapids Armory.
Nearly 600 Iowa National Guard soldiers recentlty returned to Iowa after their Middle East deployment.
