President Trump talked about ethanol and soybeans to a receptive crowd in Iowa today. During a campaign-style speech in the town of Clive, Trump said he kept his promise to the people of Iowa, and eliminated the electric vehicle mandate. Trump said that would have "obliterated" ethanol production. Iowa leads the U.S. in ethanol production. Trump went on to say he's standing up for the American farmers by getting Japan to buy 100% of their ethanol from the U.S. He said China is purchasing $40 billion of U.S.-grown soybeans. Trump's visit to The Hawkeye State is the latest stop in his tour touting his accomplishments heading into the 2026 midterms
