(Undated) -- The American Red Cross is warning of a severe, nationwide blood shortage. Spokesman Josh Murray is urging Iowans and Nebraskans to donate.
He says blood supplies are down thirty-five percent in the last month. He says giving now will ensure patients don't face delays for lifesaving care.
Murray adds they need all blood types, but especially "O" and A & B Negative.
Anyone who donates by January 25 will be entered for a chance to win a trip for two to the Superbowl in San Francisco February 8th.
