(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- The trial for a man accused of intentionally crashing his car into another at 80 miles-per-hour causing a woman to lose her pregnancy is being pushed into next year.

Police say Trenton Eiben deliberately drove head-on into the car of 39 year-old Merilyn Bowden on First Avenue E in Cedar Rapids in February of last year.

Bowden was 18 weeks pregnant at the time.

Months later, Eiben was charged with inappropriate conduct with two children between five and seven years ago.

He faces 40 years in prison for the crash and three for the other charges.
