(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- The Cedar Rapids Gazette is one of a dozen Iowa newspapers being sold.
The 143-year-old newspaper will become part of Adams MultiMedia, a Minnesota-based company with more than 120 newspapers and over 220 digital media products across 19 states.
The following newspapers are involved in the sale which is expected to be completed December 1st:
- Cedar Rapids Gazette
- Southeast Iowa Union
- Hometown Current
- Washington Evening Journal
- Mount Pleasant News
- Fairfield Ledger
- Marengo Pioneer Republican
- Williamsburg Journal Tribune
- Poweshiek County Chronicle Republican
- Winfield Beacon–Wayland News
- New London Journal
- Pekin Clarion Plainsman.
Shopper publications include The Pennysaver, Hometown Marketplace and the Southeast Iowa Shopper.
