(Ames, IA) -- Dog lovers and their four-legged friends are invited to participate in the third annual Howl-O-Ween costume contest Friday at Reiman Gardens in Ames.
This is the the third year for the annual contest that allows dog owners to bring their dogs to Reiman Gardens dressed in costumes to compete in a canine costume contest. Photos will be taken from 4:30pm-7pm, and those photos will be shared on the Reiman Gardens Facebook page, where the public can vote on their favorite. The top three most-liked photos will receive a free year-long membership to Reiman Gardens.
Each dog will get a free swag bag from Pet Supplies Plus, and ice cream will be provided from Outside Scoop, including pup cups for dogs. The event is $12 for non-member adults, $6 for non-member youth, $5 per dog, and free for Reiman Gardens members and Iowa State University Students.
Those planning to attend are encouraged to register online ahead of the event, though advanced registration is not required.
