U.S. Senate Confirms Two Iowa U.S. Attorneys

(Iowa) -- The U.S. Senate confirms two new Iowa U.S. Attorneys.

David Waterman will serve as the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Iowa, and Leif Olson with serve as the Northern District of Iowa's U.S. Attorney. Both nominations were confirmed by the Senate Judiciary, chaired by Iowa Republican U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley before being confirmed by the full senate.

Waterman is a fifth-generation attorney from Davenport who had previously served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Middle District of Florida. Olson is Iowa's Chief Deputy Attorney General under Attorney General Brenna Bird.
