(Denison, IA) -- Police have been ruled legally justified in the fatal shooting of Feglys Antonio Campos Arriba last month.
Denison Police responded to reports of a man sleeping in a park after hours on August 15. When officers attempted to arrest Campos Arriba, he became aggressive, attacked Sergeant Alan Romero, chased him through the park, and bit off part of his ear.
Romero attempted to use non-lethal force, including a taser. He then fired multiple shots, and Campos Arriba died from his injuries.
