A Texas family got quite the scare while feeding a giraffe at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center in Glen Rose, Texas. Two-year-old Paisley Toten was sitting in the back of her father's pick-up truck when a giraffe approached their vehicle.

Paisley and her mother started to feed the giraffe when it suddenly grabbed the young girl's shirt and lifted her into the air.

"We stopped to feed the giraffes, and I turned around to look out the back window, and I saw the giraffe kind of digging around right there, and then it just grabbed her, and I didn't see her no more," Paisley's father, Jason, told KWTX.

Luckily, the giraffe quickly let go of Paisley and dropped her in her mother's arms.

"Soon as she went up, her mom just yelled hey - like 'HEY!' - and the giraffe just kind of let go," Jason explained.

Paisley wasn't hurt after her close encounter with a giraffe. Afterward, her father bought her a toy giraffe at the gift shop, so she'll always remember the experience.

She will also have a video of the incident, which was recorded by a family in a car behind them.
