(Polk County, IA) -- A Des Moines man is accused of using children for over a decade to produce child porn. Investigators say some of the material was produced using hidden cameras in changing rooms in the man's photography business, called "Wicked imagery." Sixty-one-year-old Jeffrey Walter Gray is facing charges of Sexual Exploitation of a Child, Attempted Sexual Exploitation of a Child, and Possession of Child Porn. Investigators have identified 15 victims and are asking for the public's help in identifying other victims.
According to the allegations in the unsealed complaint, Gray, from as early as approximately 2005 to at least approximately 2016, used minors to produce child sexual abuse material. In November 2023, investigators recovered from Gray’s residence a hard drive which was later determined to contain child sexual abuse material.

This case is being prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa. United States Attorney Richard D. Westphal of the Southern District of Iowa made the announcement. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating the case with the assistance of the Des Moines Police Department.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice.
