(Lisbon, IA) -- New details have emerged in the unsolved death of an unidentified baby discovered in a barn not far from Lisbon in Cedar County nearly three decades ago. The infant body of "Baby Jane Lincoln" was discovered on November 10th, 1996 at a farm near Highway 30 (known as the Lincoln Highway). The Cedar County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa DCI say now they've been able to identify the infant girl's parents, through DNA testing. The Iowa Department of Public Safety says both would have both been around 15 or 16 years of age at the time. Both parents are now age 43. The Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner performed an autopsy on Baby Jane and listed her cause of death to be “probable exposure” and the manner of death to be “undetermined.”
