(Sioux City, IA) -- An Iowa woman has been convicted in a voter fraud scheme. Court documents state Kim Taylor of Sioux City fraudulently generated votes for her husband, when he ran for Iowa's 4th Congressional seat in 2020, and again later when he ran for Woodbury County Supervisor.

Investigators say Kim Taylor submitted or caused others to submit dozens of voter registrations, absentee ballot request forms, and absentee ballots with false information. She completed and signed voter forms without voter permission and told others they could sign on behalf of relatives who were not present. A federal jury has convicted Taylor of 52-charges. She faces up to five years in prison for each one. Sentencing has not been set yet.

Jeremy Taylor lost the race for Congress but won a seat on the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors. The Chairman of the Board is calling for Taylor to resign.
