I might be called a purist or maybe just a cranky old man but when I see folks riding around in convertibles with tops down and windows up during hot weather I'm assuming they have the air conditioning blowing full speed. I on the other hand am a top down enjoy mother nature whether I'm sweating or not. Being an old motorcyclist I've ridden in all kinds of conditions so being exposed to nature wasn't a choice. I once had a 59 MGA convertible, a much coveted car that my female companions hated because it made ripples in their helmet like hairdos (You couldn't mess their hair with a hammer and chisel). Now that my family has banned me from motorcycling (Health condition) I drive a plucky little 1999 Mercedes SLK 230 Kompressor convertible top down and full speed ahead, it's been a long time since the wind could mess my hair.
