Fishing came to me a bit later in my youth as my dad didn't do much of it. It was my 2 older brothers who decided me and my younger brother had been short changed on some of the adventures they enjoyed when younger. There was 14 years difference from the oldest to the youngest and the ugliness of divorce had robbed us of several years of togetherness and quite honestly we younger brothers looked forward to the time spent with our older siblings. I was 16 when I dropped my first line in the water and discovered the benefits of fishing had far greater value than catching fish. It was that priceless opportunity to share who we were in a casual setting. It was because of that I made sure to take my children at a very early age and have never stopped. No matter how old we get, fishing returns us to yesteryear and caught up on today.
