Jack of all Trades, Master of None

I am discovering everyday how much I short changed myself by underestimating my abilities, I'm not bragging, in fact it's almost embarassing. I'm pretty sure that I passed on doing a lot of things because they didn't really interest me, with the lockdown and quite honestly so bored I need a diversion I have been delving into every kids interest in mechanics. Before computers took over I pretty much could handle the basics like oil changes, lubrication, tune ups etc. it was an easy way to save money. Over the years things have become more sophisticated and special equipment is needed. Recently my Jeep was overheating and my motorcycle starter stayed grinding away. You tube here I come, I found exactly what I needed to cure these problems by installing a water pump on the Jeep and replacing a selenoid on the motorcycle. Although I enjoyed great satisfaction in what I accomplished but more so because I saved over $700. I can't wait for my son in law to return from OCS camp so he can give Pops a pat on the back, he's a certified mechanic.
