We Seldom Agreed

With the passing of radio legend Rush Limbaugh I feel compelled to offer a few thoughts. Our political beliefs seldom, if ever, agreed but as a broadcaster I offer nothing but respect for his abilities. His personality either made you like him or despise him but no matter where you stood he made you want to listen. I often caught myself yelling at the radio wishing I could reach in and punch him and yet I would catch myself listening in to see what he was spinning or raving about only to start yelling again. He was magic and deserved his golden Mic, his ability to control a conversation and hold listeners interest was uncanny to say the least. He set the bar high for all of us in broadcasting and I will truly miss him, not only his wit and humor but mostly his signature voice which let me know my adrenaline was about to spike but also was going to be treated to a feast of food for thought. We may not have agreed Mr. Limbaugh but I deeply appreciate your skills and professionalism, REST IN PEACE.
