What is there about us that makes us competitive over the most mundane situations. We're always looking to "one up" each other. The weather seems most vulnerable to exaggeration as we are less likely to do any fact checking. The first sign of one of these flings into fiction begins with "I remember" followed by "That's nothing" etc....etc....While entertaining at times, one begins to consider how gullible the yarn spinner thinks we are. Most of us will gracefully bow out with the slightest excuse and be on our way or patiently await the unbelievable ending and muster up our best look of amazement before returning to the tasks at hand.
