ISU Reverses Course, No Fans At Football Opener

Iowa State is reversing its football attendance policy. The school announced Wednesday that fans would not be allowed in Jack Trice Stadium when the Cyclones open the season against Louisiana next Saturday. The move came two days after ISU announced it would allow up to 25,000 fans to see the game in person. Athletics director Jamie Pollard says in a statement that university president Wendy Wintersteen informed him of the new policy Tuesday night after weighing feedback from the community. He adds ISU could allow fans at future games if they believe it can be done safely.
