I'll make it short and sweet, having been in a stay at home isolation for going on 14 weeks last night brought some unbelievable relief. Mother Nature may have been a bit violent in some parts of the state but as for Ames it brought much needed rain both for the yards and gardens but more importantly me. I shut off all distractions, leaned my head back, closed my eyes and listened to it fall and reveled in an occasional clap of rolling thunder. This morning a light rain continues and I've just finished opening windows and shutting off the air conditioning. As I finish this posting I've picked out a book to read and put some soft jazz on the turntable, It's a GREAT DAY in LA (Lovely Ames) I hope yours goes well for you.
