The 4th of July fireworks are over not counting the rebellious rapscallions that will continue to defy the rules. The after effects continue to haunt us, because the cancellation of official fireworks events gave rise to many permitted events is several locations and of course private shows on private properties throughout the countryside. The pollution on Sunday has been listed as poor quality air through early afternoon for most of Central Iowa and suggestions that you don't go outdoors for a great amount of time nor do any exerting physical activity. I am not indicating the never popular demand of outlawing fireworks but perhaps this is another indicator for how we should consider the effects this will have on our neighbors. Yes once again since I'm in my 70's you need to stay off my lawn and don't touch my apple tree.
