DES MOINES, Iowa -- Interstate 35 in Des Moines will close for a few hours late Tuesday night.
The Iowa Department of Transportation says pavement repair work will close I-35 at the east mixmaster in Des Moines starting at 10:00 p.m.
The DOT says northbound I-35 and eastbound I-35/80 will be closed until about 2:00 a.m. Wednesday, weather permitting.
During the closure, the DOT says traffic will be routed around the work zone using eastbound I-80, the U.S. Hwy. 65 interchange, and the westbound I-80 to northbound I-35 interchange.
