Mel opens, wishing everyone a happy bobble head day. Mel was then called by Henry who wished to speak about the events planned in Nevada. Henry discussed a fundraiser to support a mother who lost her child, the profits of the fundraiser going to pay for the funeral. Mel salutes how supportive the Nevada community is for everyone in the community.
Commander Jason Tuttle was then invited onto the show to speak with Mel about new recruitment opportunities in the Lovely Ames Police Department. Mel then brings up the topic of welfare checks. He and Commander Tuttle go over the benefits to welfare checks when they are needed and urge the listener to not be afraid to make the call if you think someone may need it, and to not hesitate.
