Watching one of my favorite Super Hero's "Flash Gordon" played by the indomitable and multi talented former Olympian Buster Crabbe. The only actor to successfully bring to life not only Flash Gordon but Tarzan and Buck Rodgers. Blame Hollywood for saddling him with an acting name that was one of the earliest venereal diseases to be eradicated. His intensity in delivering difficult if not embarrassing roles remains unsurpassed. His Oscar worthy performances ignored by his peers from what can only be perceived as infinite jealousy. It is in this vein I will observe this day as Buster Crabbe remembrance day and invite you to enjoy one of his memorable performances. I think this will affirm my avarice to appreciate the very mundane. Happy Monday!
