I am not issuing this as a veiled threat I am sincere suggesting that we fix the results of groundhog day this Saturday. Sitting here in Natures freezer one can only hope this predicting rodent does not see his shadow. I don't understand why the folks of Punxsutawney revere this ill predicting vermin except it is the one thing that gets them national attention much like the Iowa Caucuses and occasionally hits a correct answer. My suggestion to encourage Phil to become more accurate is to punish for an incorrect forecast. it is in this effort that I offer this recipe for Groundhog Sliders:
Groundhog Vengance Sliders
After cleaning and cutting, remove meat from bones and grind. Add bread crumbs, onion, salt, pepper, egg, and fat; mix thoroughly. Form into patties; dip into egg; then dip in bread crumbs. Fry in hot fat until brown. Cover with currant jelly sauce and place in slow oven for 1 hour. Serve on Hawaiian Sweet Rolls.
Makes a great snack for the big game this Sunday night.
