A funny bit of Deja Vu today. Many years ago a young boy, let's call him Shadow and his father, Duffy, used to eat a good breakfast and headed off to the arcade for some electronic sporting action. We had 2 choices, one was Dark Star the other was Zap. I would always bring a 10 spot because you got extra tokens. I put it in the token machine and it was all I could do to get my fair share. Today, I drove down and took Shad to breakfast after which he wanted to surprise me with a place he had found. It was a new arcade, when I got out of the car and looked across that 46 year old man looked 13 again and I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. We had a terrific time and I'll be damned if he didn't still let me pay for the tokens. Some things never change nor would I want them to, he did pay for the beers.
