Des Moines PD accused of racial profiling

A local community action group accuses Des Moines police of racial profiling, after an officer pulled over a car with two black men inside, even though there was no traffic violation. The officer said he thought the two had a gun, and searched the two men and the car. Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement says the officer involved booked 282 black prisoners into the Polk County jail last year. The Des Moines Police Department says that number is grossly inaccurate, but is reviewing the officer's record.
