The City of Ames' third annual community rummage sale was even more successful than the previous two. The city says last week's Rummage Rampage diverted nearly 103,000 pounds of furniture and housewares from the landfill and raised nearly $19,000 for local non-profit agencies. Tthis year's week-long event increased proceeds by more than $4,000 and diverted an additional 25,000 pounds of materials compared to 2017. City officials says planning is already underway for the 2019 Rummage Rampage.
