Judge strikes down parts of Iowa voter ID law

Parts of Iowa's Voter ID law may not be in effect for the November election.  Judge Karen Romano's ruling means Iowans have 40 days for early voting, instead of 29 days that were in the Voter ID law.  Election officials would also no longer be allowed to reject ballots if signatures don't appear to match signatures on file.  Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate issued a statement saying he'll ask the Iowa Supreme Court to get involved.
