Ames ready for "Rummage Rampage"

City of Ames officials say this week's third annual Rummage Rampage is shaping up to be the biggest yet. Sustainability Coordinator Merry Rankin says last year brought in some big numbers--the $14,000 raised in 2017 was three times the 2016 total, and the 44 tons of material kept out of a landfill doubled the amount from the year before. City Public Relations Officer Susan Gwiasda says increasing enrollments at Iowa State made the Rummage Rampage even more important as more students live off-campus.  Rummage Rampage items can be dropped off at the Intermodal Facility parking ramp Friday through August 1st. The sale starts Saturday and goes through August 2nd.
