As final preparations happen for next week's overnight RAGBRAI stop in Ames, a top police department administrator says a little perspective is important. Cmdr. Geoff Huff says while 20,000 people will come to town Tuesday, many more are in Ames on any given Iowa State home football Saturday. He says the big difference with next week's RAGBRAI stop is the number of people who will be scattered across the city. Huff says the first riders will arrive in Ames by mid-morning on Tuesday. He says most of them will be gone by the same time Wednesday.
