Unemployment declines across Iowa

Unemployment in central Iowa continues to decline. Iowa Workforce Development Department says there were fewer people unemployed in central Iowa than the same time last year.  In Polk County, 3.8 percent were unemployed in February of 2017--this year it's 3.4 percent. In Dallas County, it's 2.3 percent, down from 2.6 percent last year.  Unemployment was down across Iowa except for Boone and Cass counties, which had no change from  February of last year. Ida, Union and Taylor counties saw unemployment increase.
