Several Story County roads remain closed for repairs after being damaged by flooding this weekend. Emergency Management coordinator Keith Morgan says much like when floodwaters damaged county roads last month, heavy rains parked over the Southeast part of the county. He points out in most cases flooding has receded but repairs are needed due to the damage left behind. Morgan says crews prioritize repairs based on the most critical access but he doesn't know how long repairs will take. Morgan encourages drivers to check the engineer and secondary roads page of the county's website for the latest updates on closures. He also advises motorists to obey posted detours.
