No dogs in hot cars

The supervisor of Ames Animal Shelter says temperatures in the 90s the next few days means it's important to keep pets out of hot cars. Ron Edwards says car interiors can reach more than 110 degrees in just 10 minutes, and leaving windows down does very little to cool the vehicle. Edwards says it's important to call the Ames Police Department immediately if you see a dog left in car.
