YSS CEO says "Seven-12 House" future uncertain

The director of Youth and Shelter Services says it's too early to tell if an Ames residential treatment facility heavily damaged by fire Sunday night will be used again.   CEO Andrew Allen says the house at 712 Burnett Ave. was a unique setting for the substance abuse treatment provided to the eight teenage girls who lived there.   He says the residents and three staff members are living in a local hotel while the organization finds a more permanent solution. He says YSS is taking donations to replace the clothing and other personal items residents lost in the fire.
