Iowa's economy is showing growth. The latest Creighton University Rural Mainstreet Index climbed nearly two points in May, and remains above growth neutral. Iowa's farmland-price index is up slightly. New hiring is up about a point. Creighton looks at 10 Midwest states. They say bankers in those states report they expect farm land prices to slip a little this year. The survey finds farm equpment sales continues to lag, below growth-neutral.
