Flooding closes some Iowa state parks

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says flooding has closed, in whole or in part, nine state parks. The DNR says some of the parks will have partial closures, like certain trails, roads, or some campgrounds, but several parks will be completely closed due to high water. The closures are expected to continue through Independence Day.  At Ledges State Park in Boone County, flood waters have closed Lower Ledges Road and parking lots.
