A trio of tornadoes touch Iowa on Wednesday

Damage is being assessed from three tornadoes that hit the state Wednesday.  The National Weather Service says the first twister touched down north of Perry in Dallas County just after 2:30 p.m., followed by another about a half hour later confrimed by police in Hardin County.  The third was confirmed by law enforcement between Chillicothe and Eddyville just after 5:30 p.m.  A tornado watch was in effect for more than a third of the state late Wednesday afternoon.
