Nevada man pleads to killing daughter

A Nevada man accused of killing his infant daughter in January pleaded guilty in Story County District Court, to causing her death. Calvin Curtis White, 30, pleaded guilty to child endangerment resulting in death. White was originally charged with first-degree murder. He was arrested February second after being released from a hospital, where he was treated for injuries suffered when he was hit by a train. Hours before white was hit, Nevada police got a call from the child’s mother saying she wasn’t breathing. The girl died shortly after officers arrived.  White admitted that he put pillows over the girl's face to muffle her crying.  He'll be sentenced July 23rd. Story County Attorney Jessica Reynolds says the state is recommending 50 years in prison.
