Heavy rain pushes flooding in NE Iowa

Several rivers in north central and eastern Iowa are in flood stage or action stage after a weekend of storms and heavy rain, and others are still rising. The Cedar River at Cedar Falls will crest less than a foot from major flood stage Monday night into early Tuesday.  At Waterloo, the Cedar is still rising and should crest late Monday at Minor Flood stage. The Winnebago River at Mason City crested at minor flood stage Saturday and is receeding. So far, there is no flooding in central Iowa.
