Parts of Iowa "abnormally dry"

Despie rain in recent days, some parts of central Iowa are considered "abnormally dry".  The Iowa Department of Natural Resources' drought monitor shows parts of Story, Tama and Grundy counties, along with most of Warren, Marion and Mahaska counties are in the "abnormally dry" category.  There's moderate drought in 10 counties near the Iowa-Missouri border.  The DNR says most of those areas had temperatures at eight to nine degrees above normal last month, which contributed to the drought conditions.
