Voter ID law draws suit from ISU student, LULAC

An Iowa State University student and the League of United Latin American Citizens of Iowa have filed suit to block Iowa's voter ID law.  The group and the student, Taylor Blair, say it infringes on voters' ability to cast a ballot fairly.  Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate says he hasn't been notified of the suit, but called it "baseless and politically motivated" and an attempt to interfere with the June 5th primary. Blair says the law undermines efforts to encourage people to vote by putting roadblocks in their way.  The new law requires a government-issued photo ID to vote.
