Another day, more storm damage

Iowans are cleaning up after yet another round of severe weather pummelled parts of the state Tuesday. Ames saw a 58 mile-per-hour wind gust drop a tree limb into power lines near 24th St. and Hoover Ave., tripping a circuit breaker and cutting power to nearby homes.  More than 1,600 custpomers were without power for a time Tuesday evening. Downed powerlines in Des Moines left 8,500 Mid-American Energy customers in the dark.  Damage at Principal Park in Des Moines ostponned a pair of high school baseball games to be played there Wednesday afternoon. A number of severe thunderstorm warnings were issued as the storms moved across the state.
