Clarksville native Maddie Poppe will find out Monday night if she's the next "American Idol." She performed on the first part of the season finale Sunday night and now, it's up to the nationwide audience. Poppe has a powerful backer in her corner as Gov. Reynolds tweeted a video Sunday of her signing a proclamation declaring May 20th, 2018 as "Maddie Poppe Day" in Iowa. The governor also encouraged Iowans to vote for Poppe as she looks to beat out two others for the title.
