A Boone woman originally charged with 1st degree murder will avoid life in prison when she's sentenced Friday. Mary Myers faces up to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to willful injury causing serious injury and voluntary manslaughter last month in a plea deal. Myers was accused of killing Joe Wirth in January the leaving his body in a house for two days before reporting the killing to police.
