Protestors decry Mount Pleasant ICE raid

About 30 people gathered in front of the federal building in Des Moines Thursday night protesting the federal immigration action that took 32 men into custody Wednesday in Mount Pleasant. Organizers read a list of the 32 people arrested.  One protester told the crowd that their families "went to bed not knowing" where those arrested were.  Immigration groups say those arrested are being held in the Linn County and the Hardin County jails pending immigration action.  Attorneys with pro-immigration groups are working to try and free the men...and to sue Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
